sunday
Yesterday the weather in Kansas was gorgeous. After being cooped up inside for several days last week because of the rain, we stayed outside as much as we could. We even ate dinner at our picnic table. So fun.
I am loving this warmer weather. My hubby is hoping for some more rain this week...the crops really need it around here. It is hard for me to pray for rain when I would rather be playing outside with Levi in the sunshine...I guess we will just have to pray for rain and then play in it too!!
How was your weekend?

I took my daughter for a bike ride this weekend. Just her and I. It was so much fun!
You take the best pictures!!
Our weekend was sunny & hot & we loved every minute of it!
we have PLENTY of rain in ohio. our farmers haven't even had a chance to plant yet. my b-i-l got the planter buried in mud over the weekend as he was trying to plant.
wonderful! we were able to get some planting done yesterday.
I love all your photos out on the farm. Looks so gorgeous and peaceful. We'll keep positive thoughts for some rain.
I love your pictures. Maybe one day you'll do a post about your camera and give us a picture-taking lesson!
On another note: a friend of mine lost her firstborn baby girl this morning. Gracie was born without a wall in her heart, but it wasn't discovered until she was 6 months old. She was a week shy of her first birthday. I gave my friend your website and told her that you are probably one of the only people that can truly empathize with her. Thank you SO MUCH for the ways you have shared your loss and healing process and the ways Christ has been your only source of hope. I am so glad I have a 'place' to send my friend for Hope.
Bad then good. Started out with a car accident and ended with a Bon Jovi concert!
I love your pictures. What kind of camera do you use? I love the quality.
cute pictures, Jess! Sounds like a relaxing weekend, in beautiful weather.
I went to our church's women's retreat and had a wonderful time!
We hope for rain at night so we can have the best of both worlds. Enjoy the outside!

My former kindergarten class graduated from high school and I got to be part of their graduation. My heart is full!
Although I couldn't convince my husband, I've always loved the name Cort for a boy. I guess maybe it's short for Cortney which is too feminine perhaps. But I always thought he could be just Cort, not short for anything. Sounds like a good farm boy name. I hung onto it for awhile, until a friend pointed out that with my last name, Kane, it sounded too much like "cocaine". Ha. Okay, fine.
Dealbreaker.
I am a sucker for more feminine boy names like, Quinn, Beau, Avery.
Oh, and my boys' middle names are Basil and Emmanuel.
