our fourth

We LOVE having the young marrieds group from our church over for the 4th. It is so fun to spend time together. We are truly blessed with great friends.

We debated about having the party at our house again this year.
We weren't sure how we would do with all the kiddos.
But, we decided we just couldn't skip it.

It turned out to be a beautiful Kansas day.  It wasn't even too hot.
We were so glad we could spend the evening with so many dear friends.

We made it through another holiday.

wow-you and your husband are truly amazing-I don't think you think so but it seems you are being so obedient to what God does call us to do. These trials work for our good and to grow us in ways we will not understand on this earth-terrible trials sometimes-but you two are great witnesses to our faith. Thanks for being faithful and letting us see through you all how we should trust our Lord even through those hard times. Looks like you have alot of friends to keep helping you through this-Congratulations again on that new baby. God Bless You

Jess-

From your blog it seems like you have had a lot of support through your loss. Sadly, we did not. I've met many others that have had a similar experience to ours. Instead of running to them...their family and friends run from them.

I've started a blog where I shared what our experience has been like. I want to teach others how to care for someone who has lost a child and help people understand what it is truly like. If you are interested, I would love for you to check it out. It's from my heart.

Love,
Trisha

The picture of your fields is gorgeous! I thought of you guys all through out the day on Saturday. I'm sure every single occasion is so hard. Just praying that Jesus takes the sting away.
I truly, truly, with all my heart, feel so honored to walk through this year with you guys, praying for you the whole way. All these firsts of this first year have got to be so heartbreaking and the Lord brings you to my mind all the time. I'm continually praying for you and can't wait to meet you and Joel and Cora on the other side one day!

What a gorgeous setting you live in! I'm so glad you decided to go ahead and host a July 4 get-together. That cake looks delicious!!

I still think of Cora daily - she seems to shine through in my daughter (they are very similar looking, at least in pictures) and I feel grateful to Cora for reminding me how precious my Anna is. In this way, Cora lives on in me and my family. I don't know how else to put it. I came across your blog at just the right time; it gives me continual inspiration even though I am not religious. Thank you for being "out there."

Still thinking of your new baby, too, and wondering how you are feeling.
