two year olds are the best

I love two year olds. They are so funny...and so much smarter than we think.

Levi is constantly cracking me up. Like on this day when I was responding to some emails and I turned around because it was suspiciously quiet in our house. I found Levi right behind me lounging in this basket...snacks in hand. I asked him what he was doing and he told me he was just having a snack. Of course.

Last night Levi kept waking up crying. This was very unusual for him because unlike his little brother, he is an excellent sleeper. Joel was sweet and went into his room and rocked him and sang to him. It happened two or three times. Joel asked me why I thought he kept waking up and I said that maybe he liked that he was rocking him. After all, Levi loves being with his daddy. Well...this morning I asked Levi why he was crying so much in the night. He got a big grin on his face and said, "Daddy come and rock me and sing!" And then he laughed...and I laughed too.

I am so thankful for the joy and laughter this little boy brings to our house. Two year olds are the best!

Sweet story & such an adorable little boy! And I agree, 2 year olds are the best, when they are in a good mood anyway. :)

That story is hilarious! Don't you just adore that father/son relationship? Boys have such special bonds with their moms I loved watching my son fall in love with his daddy too.

He is just SO beautiful!

p.s. I 'crafted' today! It involved me going to a craft store, buying some wooden letters and spray painting them. Not too complicated. But for a very nervous and inexperienced crafter, it was an achievement :)

So sweet! I am amazed at how much my little guy, who just turned 2, picks up! Love that he just wanted some extra snuggle time with Daddy!

First, adorable. Second, 2 is a great age. I am soaking up all the "2-ness" I can of our little boy. Third, love Levi's PJs - our little one has the same ones.

be well.

I love this and I couldn't agree more. I have a 2 year old as well and she is such a joy! They are sponges at this age and soak up everything; it is amazing! Two questions: what are his favorite snacks and what kind of sippy cup is that with his milk?

Braden has been trying to come up with all kinds of ways to spend time with his daddy too - and if he can get daddy ALL to himself that is the best! This transition to spring when Ryan has to work more always seems extra tough on him. During the day he will just stop his playing and sadly tell me "I love my daddy" which means that he is really missing him too. Super sweet to see little boys needing their daddy's!! I'm so glad they have awesome daddy's to spend time with.

That is so precious and SMART that he figured out the connection. Our almost two-year-old wakes up about once a night and we go up and put him back to bed. I sometimes wonder if it is for the same reason.

Aw, your Levi is so sweet.

When I was right out of college I worked as a "preschool" teacher for two-year-olds. It honestly frightened me, they can be so busy! But, I grew to love them and realize that yes, they are pretty darn wonderful and more brilliant than we give them credit for.

When I was in high school, I worked in a day care in the two-year-old room for a few years. I loved them! They are just precious and I love all the things they have to say... so funny.

Yes, I agree....two-year-olds are the best. My little granson Braxton will be two in May. He is the love of my life. He helped me heal, he helped me love again, he helped me to see into the future, he helped me to sit back and enjoy life again. He is a funny little guy and even cracks himself up at times. He is a wonderful little person. He feel asleep in my arms last evening and it was pure joy. Your little guy?? zhe is just so darn cute and I love his easy carefree attitude. It still amazes me that little babies and little kids get their personalities very early. They do have a way of twirling their parents (and grandparents) around their little fingers!! Have a wonderful day.
