stuck
First, I want to say that I did not mention the comment about the diaper line in Griffin's 1 month pictures to be mean. I actually laughed when I read that comment because I am so used to those crazy diaper lines being green that I hadn't even noticed...they stay dry for like one minute, right? I just mentioned it because I liked that both the one month and two month pictures showed a little glimpse of real life with a newborn. That's all. The sweet lady who wrote that comment emailed me right away because she felt so bad that I might have taken her comment the wrong way. I felt horrible that some people thought I mentioned it because I was offended and wanted to make her look bad. It is never my intent to use this blog to say anything mean or hurtful about others. Never. And I know the lady who left the comment feels the same way. Okay. Glad we got that cleared up!

Did you notice that the blog got stuck on Tuesday last week? Oops. We were a little busy around here and then we decided to take an impromptu trip to Colorado to visit some of our besties. We really needed to get away and it was such a great weekend. More on that later.
Someone else was stuck last week too. This little boy is getting himself into so much trouble lately. He likes to climb on, go behind, and crawl through anything he can.
But sometimes he gets stuck. And then it is not so much fun anymore.
Especially when his mama is giggling and grabs the camera to take a few pictures instead of helping him get out.
This almost two {how can his birthday be less than a month away?!} stage is so fun. I love watching him try new things. Even when it doesn't always go as planned...and he gets stuck!
Happy Monday!

He is so, SO cute! Almost makes me want to have another baby to try for a boy! ..Almost. :)
he is so precious!! do you use any editing software for your pictures? they are all so good!
I always love the pics you take and was wondering if you would share with me what kind of lens you use? I have a Canon EOS Rebel, do you have any idea what type of lens would be a good one for me? I keep putting off getting a new one because I have no idea what I'm looking for.. Here is my email incase you have time to get back to me! ckwestphal@hotmail.com
Thanks,
Katie
You are so sweet, Jess. You know, I've always thought those diaper lines are a bit silly. I mean, you can tell when a diaper is wet because it's squishy! Levi and my Ellie are so similar. They are only two months apart. This is definitely such a fun stage of learning new things. My husband and I laugh because it's like they mentally know what they want to do, but can't always physically do it. Then they get so frustrated and throw temper tantrums. Ellie throws the tantrums when she can't put her shoes on right. Oh, and I love that big container for the crayons - what a great idea! :)
Hi Jess! I wanted to tell you about a great book for Levi. I know, that was another post a while back but this book is so cute I had to share! It's called IF JESUS LIVED INSIDE MY HEART by Jill Roman Lord Illustraded by Amy Wummer. It's a little board book so could even be a stocking stuffer! :)
So cute - I guess we all get "stuck" sometimes, right?? My little 18-month-old grandson and his parents live with me right now. I got him a cute little chair for his birthday. He thinks the way to get into a chair is over the arm or from the back of the chair. Oh, he knows how to sit down in it but the other way is much more interesting and challenging. I'm sure that is just a glimpse of things to come!! LOL Have a great day!!
He's such an adorable little guy! My youngest got stuck like that in a rocking chair a few months ago. I thought it was hilarious, until I realized I couldn't pull him out :) I thought for sure I was going to have to call the fire department or something, but my 5 year old came to the rescue and wiggled him out.
I LOVE this post. How adorable and so true.....every child likes to see what exactly they can (or cannot) squeeze into. haha
Never thought a thing about the diaper line comment! Your little man is really something! What a cutie....and I can relate to laughing at my kids instead of helping....they hate it! Even now that they are 7 and 8 years old!! I still do it!! :)
So cute!! My 21 month old has picked up the word 'stuck.' Except he sounds like he is swearing. He said it during church on Sunday, and followed it with 'shorry shorry shorry.' Everyone around us was laughing so hard...partly because they know we don't swear, and I am one to always correct 'bad language'...and here my little boy was 'swearing' during church. oiy....
I'm sorry Levi. Whether you are smiling, looking sad, stuck or anything else, you are still adorable. And I look at your photos and smile :)
Thank you Jess for the beautiful pics.

So cute! I was reading this and my 4 year old came over and thought I was looking at his old baby pictures. He said "what am I doing and did I get chocolate all over the chair"? Haha I tried to explain to him shabby chic, but I don't think he got it.
aww too cute!
So funny! You set that up perfectly. :)
So fun that you came to Colorado! Kelly
I love the age of 2..just wish they could stay 2 a little longer..so much fun and so excited over everything new the learn and see!
Two is such a fun age. He is so adorable and baby brother is starting to look more and more like him everyday!
I felt the diaper comment was mentioned in fun and I smiled. I know that everything is left to interpretation and it is all subjective but I have been reading your blog for several years now and I know you well enough to know that you do not have even one mean molecule in your body. Everything you see is seen through loving eyes and everything you say is said through a loving heart.. This I know. I love your blog, love seeing glimpses of your life with Joel and the boys! <3
