home

We are finally home. We spent the past week in Maine on a little family vaca. It was wonderful. The scenery was beautiful, the weather was AMAZING, and the rest and relaxation was much needed. We spent the whole week with some dear friends whom we don't get to see often enough. Today it is back to reality and the Kansas heat. I have lots of pictures that I will share soon. In the mean time, here is a little glimpse into our vacation via Instagram.

1. vacation here we come
2. checking out the planes
3. please go to sleep baby
4. weary travelers...and still five hours to go

 5. to the shore
6. coming back from the water
7. sandy baby feet
8. oh how I wish I could kayak too
9. colorful buoys
10. starfish

11. Bar Harbor
12. fresh Maine crab roll
13. boats in the harbor
14. lovin' the beach

15. hydrangeas everywhere
16. lighthouse
17. Levi & Mama
18. IKEA in Boston
19. can we please go back?
20. lobster cages

21. wild Maine blueberries
22. my baby boys
23. a day at the beach
24. New England donuts

I decided to give Instagram a try while we were away and I loved it.
I might be addicted now...so fun!

yeah!! i've been waiting and waiting for pics!! SOOOOOO cute! and for the record, i'm also a little teensy tiny itty bit jealous. it looks beautiful there! that first set where you are holding levi trying to get him to go to sleep reminds me so much of a pic you have holding cora close...bad description but it looks so similar and i can see such resemblance in levi to cora. do you know which one i am talking about?? you had it in a little frame at one time. anyway :)
looks like fun and relaxation was had by all. check. check. glad you are back home safely. now get your butts to colorado :) oh wait, you are about to have a BABY! ok, looks like i need to get my butt to kansas!
pretty sure this is my longest blog comment. ever. :) love and hugs.

You were in my neck of the woods. In fact, I made the trek south to that very same IKEA last week too. Glad you had a wonderful vacation.

Hi Jess - love that you went to Maine, I'm a NE girl at heart (born and raised in Providence RI) so all of your pics are near and dear to my heart. LOVE Bar Harbor. And of course Dunkin Donuts, the staple of all New Englanders, lol. Looks like you had a great time - welcome home!

Hi there! We live in Wichita but L-OVE New England! We took a big trip as a babymoon two years ago and traveled to Bar Harbor. What a fun time we had. We would love to go back some day. This summer we took our little guy with us and went to Providence RI. I'm curious, how did you guys decide to go there? If you're interested in sharing, would love to see more of your trip!

Hi Jess. Glad to see you guys got a family vacation in before the new little addition arives. I have a question for you. I am about to take my little one on her first airplane ride and was wondering if you have any suggestions to make it as smooth as possible?! I'm packing dumb dumbs (I heard they help with ear poping) and I got two new toys that won't be seen til take off. Thanks for any advice!

"We spent the whole week with some dear friends..." It would sound to me that they are the GREATEST FRIENDS on earth. Especially Nate!

I "MIGHT" have some of that crab roll...hmmm... "Might you?"

Please take more pictures of your husband next time. I print them off and hang them up in my bathroom. He is so hot! Your a lucky lady!

How many pregnant women do you know that can only finish half a chocolate mile shake. I know of one now...

We love you guys! Thanks for coming out and letting us spend time with you. Especially Levi! I loved getting "The Look".

Joel, sorry about Owen's low blow good bye.

So glad you got to get away, just the 3 of you before new baby brother comes!!!

Ok, so i'm living in the dark ages and still have a phone where you have to push a button 3 times to get the letter "O", etc... I've never wanted to pay for a data plan or cared about an iphone...
until this post. And now, i'm dying for one. I googled instagram and i'm telling you, i just HAVE to have it. In fact, i emailed my husband and told him i know what i want for Christmas.
It would make my blog life so much easier!

Crossing my fingers to get one!! HA! OH, and my husband says "thanks alot"! bahahah :-)
