back

It is 9:30 and Levi is taking a nap right now.
I am wondering if it is too early for me to take a nap too.
I think maybe it is.
Since I have only been awake for two hours and all.
But I am feeling just as tired as he is.
Vacations are wonderful and much needed.
But the coming home part is always hard.

We just got back from a week in Colorado.
We had a great time.
And we have some wonderful new memories as a family.
My favorite thing about going on vacation is that Joel gets to see Levi for  "whole" day.
Of course we are not in our normal routine...
but he gets to see how happy Levi is in the morning...
and he can take a nap with Levi if he wants to...
or feed Levi his baby food.
I love that he can be a part of our normal day-to-day things.

On our LONG drive home Saturday I downloaded my first iPhone App.
(I know my family will be so proud of me!)
The ShakeItPhoto app is so fun.
I was entertained for a long time.
I think Joel was getting very annoyed by me...
and all the shaking.
But it made the time go by faster, right Joel??

So here are a few iPhone pictures from our car ride home...

Joel always chews on a straw when he gets tired or bored.

This is how we knew...

we were getting close to home.

And this is how we all felt about that.

By the way...all the pictures of Levi out of his car seat were taken when the truck was parked and we were taking a stretching break. I am a huge stickler when it comes to seat belts! Just in case you are worried...or wondering. :)

More Colorado pictures to come.

As I was looking at the photos, I was wondering if you might say something about Levi being out of his car seat. Of course we all knew you weren't driving when those pics were taken. ;)

levi is getting so big and still so cute! the shake it app is cool and makes me wish i had an iphone instead of a blackberry.

Your statement about seatbelts cracked me up. When I saw the first picture, I thought, "Surely they weren't driving!" Then I noticed the fence in the back and I thought, "OF COURSE they wouldn't be driving...she wouldn't do that." :o)

Levi is just TOO CUTE!! I'm so glad you "share" him with us through your blog. I always find myself smiling at just how dang cute he is!! :) Glad your trip to CO was wonderful!!!

Make sure you pop up the chest clip on the car seat (which is my favorite brand of infant seat BTW) to be level with his underarms. It looks a smidge low in the pics. I am a car seat tech, so I am always checking out car seat pics....forgive me! ;)

Thank you for clarifying. I WAS worried about seatbelts!!! (Not that I'd think even for a SECOND that you'd put your darling boy in danger!!!) :-)

Glad you are a seat belt enthusiast! I knew right away you wouldn't be the type of mom that would have Levi out of the car seat while traveling. Car seats were still in the new stage when I started having kids 27 years ago. But I always insisted on one. So now I've got three grown kids that wouldn't imagine being in a vehicle without one using their seat belt.

BTW, Joel looks just like my hubby crusing along with something in his mouth. Your pics were great!
